Little League District 8 tournaments headline a busy June for Scituate youth sports.

SCITUATE -- The Little League District 8 Tournaments are underway for Scituate Little League, the organization announced on its website. The spring season wrapped up with several champions crowned: Hoffman Property Management took the Farm division title, Gallagher Landscaping claimed the Majors championship, and Coastal Volkswagen won the Minors title. All-Star Games were held for both the Minors and Juniors divisions, and the Queen of the Diamonds 2026 event was also noted among recent highlights.

YOUTH LEAGUES

Scituate Little League's Tournament Central page is tracking District 8 postseason action. Sandlot Baseball registration is also open, according to links posted on the league's website.

The Scituate Basketball Association announced that its 2026 Big Al 3-on-3 tournament — held in memory of Al Kazlousky — was scheduled for Saturday, June 13, with registration having closed June 10. Looking ahead, the SBA noted that 2026-27 Winter Travel Season registration will open in September, with tryouts beginning the week of October 20. Boys and girls teams compete in the South Shore Youth Boys Basketball League, South Shore Girls Basketball League, and Old Colony Girls Basketball, spanning grades 3 through 8.
