Wareham Launches Free On-Demand Rides Through Circuit Partnership

The town is offering free on-demand rides to residents this summer through a partnership with Circuit, a transit service that has been expanding across small and mid-sized communities.

TOWN HALL

Wareham announced a free ride program through Circuit, a short-trip shuttle service that connects residents to local destinations without charge. The town posted the News Flash on June 22, encouraging residents to take advantage of the offering. Full details, including service hours and coverage area, are available on the town's official announcement page at https://www.wareham.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?aid=89.

Residents should also note that Town Hall will be closed Wednesday, July 2, with all town offices shut for the July 4th holiday period through July 3.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Wareham Free Library has a busy stretch ahead. The Wareham Library Foundation Comedy Night fundraiser is set for Friday, June 26 at 7 p.m. — a ticketed event that supports the library's programs. Running the same weekend, the Friends of the Wareham Free Library June Book Sale runs June 25 through June 27.

Looking slightly further out, the library's Concerts on the Lawn series features the Catnip Junkies on Monday, June 29 at 7 p.m., and a program called "The Women of '76" is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1 at 6:30 p.m.

Also on the town events calendar: the 18th Annual Onset Summer of Love Music Series kicks off Wednesday, June 24, and the plein air art event "Art in Plein Air" is scheduled for Thursday, June 25.
