Onset Fireworks Committee Opens Survey Ahead of Village's 150th Anniversary

The town is asking residents to weigh in on whether fireworks should mark Onset's 150th Anniversary in 2027, while the Wareham Free Library and its supporters are filling this week with book sales, comedy, and concerts.

TOWN HALL

The Onset Fireworks Committee launched a public survey this week asking residents whether fireworks should be part of Onset's 150th Anniversary celebration in 2027. The committee says the results will shape its planning decisions for the milestone event. Residents can find the survey on the town's website at wareham.gov.

Also noted on the town homepage: Town Hall will be closed Wednesday, July 2, with all town offices also shut Thursday, July 3, for the Independence Day holiday stretch. Residents with time-sensitive business should plan accordingly.
